Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Legal Specialist to provide comprehensive legal support and advice to our management team in KSA. The ideal candidate will handle a wide range of legal issues including governance, commercial litigation, employment law, and real estate laws. This role involves drafting legal recommendations, managing legal cases, ensuring compliance, and facilitating smooth operations within the legal department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Legal Advice: Provide expert legal advice on various domains including governance, in-house counseling, international law, commercial litigation, employment law, and real estate laws.
- Draft Recommendations: Prepare legal recommendations for other functions and businesses within the organization.
- Risk Assessment: Review legal risks associated with business deals and communicate these risks to management.
- Case Management: Review existing legal cases and work on their resolution. Follow up on all legal cases, tracking their progress and outcomes.
- Legal Affairs: Assist in legal affairs meetings and court cases, and consult sources to prepare legal opinions as required.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to laws and regulations, keeping upper management informed about compliance-related issues.
- Legal Queries: Handle and assist with legal queries, advisory work, litigation, intellectual property (IP), regulatory compliance, and privacy matters.
- Process Improvement: Create and modify legal forms and processes to enhance operational efficiency and control.
- Document Management: Respond to legal case requests, ensuring all necessary documents are available. Maintain and organize legal documents as hard copies and electronic files.
- Reporting: Write comprehensive legal reports on case details for presentation to legal offices and courts. Create reports on pending, in-progress, and finalized legal cases, including outcomes, for management review.
- Coordination: Act as the focal point for coordination with other functions and entities within the organization to ensure smooth operation of the Legal Section.
- Agreement Review: Review business agreements to ensure legal compliance.
- Document Translation: Translate legal documents between English and Arabic as needed.
- Investigations: Conduct professional investigations with employees, prepare detailed reports, and keep records of all investigations and their results.
- Special Projects: Undertake additional projects and assignments as directed by the supervisor/manager, including coordinating Board Members’ meetings and other special tasks.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law; advanced legal certifications or a Master’s degree is preferred.
- Proven experience in a legal role with expertise in governance, commercial litigation, employment law, and real estate laws.
- Strong understanding of legal compliance, risk assessment, and case management.
- Proficiency in drafting legal documents and managing legal processes.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Arabic, with the ability to translate legal documents accurately.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in conducting professional investigations and preparing detailed reports.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities effectively.
